Simten Birsöz İnanç

Simten Birsöz İnanç, after completing her undergraduate degree in International Relations and her master's degree in European Studies, served as a Foreign Relations and Fundraising Advisor at the Bartın Governorate, the Foreign Relations Coordinator at Şişli Municipality, and the Migration Policies Coordinator at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. During this time, she played a role in the establishment of relevant units and managed inclusive and sustainable policy development processes.
İnanç is the General Secretary of the Local Monitoring, Implementation and Research Association (YERELİZ) and a board member of the Zero Discrimination Association. She was involved in the establishment of the "Sustainable Urban Development Network," initiated by the YERELİZ association, contributing to national-level urban-based sustainable development efforts. Throughout this process, she participated in numerous externally funded projects, international partnerships, awards, and networking initiatives. İnanç also take part in coordination of establishing an inclusive, transparent, and data-driven governance approach in the city, including initiatives such as Istanbul's first Local Equality Action Plan, the first Social Cohesion Action Plan, and the first SDG Local Volunteer Review.
Currently, İnanç serves as the Foreign Affairs Coordinator at the Istanbul Planning Agency (İPA) and continues her work on the relationship between local dynamics and the global system in areas such as data, innovation, and inclusivity.
