Selen Akçalı
Dr., Project Coordinator, Cultural Policy Studies, Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts
She completed her undergraduate studies at Marmara University, in the French Department of Public Administration and Political Science. She received her master's degree from Boğaziçi University, in the Department of International Relations and Politics. She completed her Ph.D. in Modern Turkish History Institute at Boğaziçi University and wrote her dissertation on "Political Propaganda in the Single Party Era". Akçalı, lecturer of History of the Turkish Republic at Boğaziçi University and founding partner of SOM Research www.som.eu.com, has been providing project management, budget management, networking services in the field of EU-funded grant programs to civil society, universities, private sector, SMEs and industry since 2004. Focusing especially on culture, art, and rights-based projects since 2010, Akçalı is currently the project coordinator of the EU-funded Ortaklaşa Project https://ortaklasa.iksv.org/ conducted by the IKSV.
