Daniel Freitas
Dr., Head of Carbon Neutrality in Porto, Porto Ambiente
Daniel Freitas is the Head of Carbon Neutrality in Porto, being responsible for the management of some climate neutrality projects in the city of Porto, namely the Porto Climate Pact. He is also the Mission Coordinator of the city of Porto in the EU Mission: 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030.
Former adviser to the Porto’s Vice-Mayor and City Councillor for Environment, Climate, Innovation and Digital Transition, he has experience in the subjects of environment, climate change, energy, innovation, digital transition, information systems and services to the citizen in the city of Porto.
Currently he is also teaching in several programs / study cycles in FEP - School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto. He is Postgraduate in Business Management from Porto Business School (PBS) and he has a Master’s degree in Informatics and Computing Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP).
