Pınar Öncel

Pınar Öncel is a sustainability consultant and co-founder of ClaimCarbon, a startup dedicated to advancing high-quality carbon removal projects in underrepresented regions.

With 20 years of experience in sustainability, she combines expertise in carbon removals—particularly biochar—with a strong background in systems design, stakeholder engagement, and green policy advocacy. She has extensive experience in designing and facilitating high-impact sustainability training programs for the private sector, entrepreneurs, creatives, and policymakers. 

She also co-founded the Sustainable Living Film Festival (2008–2022), which engaged 70,000+ people through creative storytelling to inspire action for sustainability. Most recently, she has been building international consortiums for biochar innovation, supporting regenerative and circular solutions for a low-carbon future.
