Zülâl Karaman
Multidisciplinary Designer, Youth for Good
Zülâl Karaman, a multidisciplinary designer, works on projects, content and visual design at Youth for Good, an inclusive design studio focusing on youth and positive impact at the intersections of design, sustainability and youth.
While continuing her architecture education at Pamukkale University, she is involved in institutions and organisations in the fields of youth, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
She has been volunteering at the Design Foundation of Turkey for three years, taking part in projects and content production to raise design awareness. Here, she has produced social media content for iskele.co, a design-oriented video platform, and Arkki, where children and young people develop their innovation skills through architecture and design.
On the link between design and 'social innovation' and 'making an impact', he took his place among the winning teams by producing an initiative project in the field of "Circular Design" in the Imece-LAB Circular Economy Issue Process in 2021. In 2022, he took part as a fellow in S360 Fellowship, the Next Generation Leadership and Learning Programme.
With the experience she gained at ATÖLYE, Impact Hub Istanbul, Turkey Social Entrepreneurship Network, she strengthened her multidisciplinary working practices and development of impact-oriented collaborations.
Zülâl participated in the UIA World Congress of Architects 2023 in Copenhagen this year with the organisation support, sharing her experience and insights with young people through the Youth for Good platform.
Zülâl continues to work on the themes of sustainable design, impact creation, innovation, youth, inclusiveness, community by taking part in communities and youth programmes on the impact of the creative field, especially design.
