Aygül Çınar Sevim
Coordinator of Arkki Türkiye, Türkiye Design Council
She has been working as Arkki Türkiye coordinator at the Türkiye Design Council since 2021. Believing in the importance of design awareness at an early age, in Türkiye, she is conducting the all process of Finland-based Arkki in Türkiye. Arkki has been providing creative education to children aged 4-19 through architecture and design for approximately 30 years. She received her bachelor's degree from Bahçeşehir University Department of Architecture in 2018. She attended Inter-Cultural Study of Architecture summer school program in Japan and the Erasmus+ exchange program in Poland. She worked as a junior architect in various design offices. During her undergraduate education, she organized various talks and panels within the BAU Architecture and Design Student Club, of which she was one of the founders. As one of the researchers of the Istanbul Architecture and Urbanization Research Academy 2017 Fall semester, she developed the project "A Breath for Istanbul: Çinçindere Ecological Corridor". After participating in İmeceLab's Urban Mobility Issue Process, she gained knowledge on social innovation The project "Istanbul's Common Footprint: Food Communities Network", one of the Aslıhan Demirtaş + UrbanAgrIst team at the 5th Istanbul Design Biennial, was exhibited at ARK Kültür with interactive mapping technique. She joined the 2. Game and Application Academy community and received training on basic entrepreneurship and game development. Issues such as ecological and social sustainability, child-focused inclusive design, social innovation and game development are her work areas where the urban and architecture intersect.
