Hasan Sercan Sağlam
Hasan Sercan Sağlam was born in 1990 in Burhaniye. He completed his BSc on Urban and Regional Planning in Istanbul Technical University between 2007-2011 with a one-year ERASMUS in Universität Stuttgart during the academic year 2009-2010. He worked for the Municipality of Burhaniye as an urban planner for one year, where the book he prepared "Burhaniye'nin Tarihi Yapıları" was published. He completed his MA on Conservation and Regeneration in the University of Sheffield between 2012-2013. He did his PhD on Preservation of the Architectural Heritage in Politecnico di Milano between 2014-2018. His doctoral thesis was about the urban palimpsest at Galata and the Genoese architectural heritage in Turkey. He is a member of the scientific board of Adramytteion Archaeological Field Surveys and Excavations since 2017. During the academic year of 2018-2019, he had a postdoctoral fellowship position in Istanbul Studies Center of Kadir Has University and at the same time worked as a part-time lecturer in Medipol University Faculty of Fine Arts Design and Architecture.
